Create an Earn Rule Group

To create a new Earn Rule Group:

  1. Select Rules from the top navigation bar, then select Settings > Earn Rule Settings from the side navigation menu. The Earn Rule Settings screen is displayed.

  2. Within the Earn Rule Groups section, in the Enter Display Name field, enter the Display Name value for the new Earn Rule Group.

  3. From the drop-down menu, select an Earn Rule Group strategy (see Getting Started with Earn Rule Groups for details on these strategies):

    • Sum All Applicable Rules: Results from all applicable Earn Rules within the Earn Rule Group are summed to calculate the final Metric adjustment.

    • Use Best Rule Result: The best result among all applicable Earn Rules within this Earn Rule Group is used as the final Metric adjustment.

    • First Applicable Rule: The result from the first applicable Earn Rule within this Earn Rule Group is used as the final Metric adjustment.

  1. Click Create. The Rule Group pop-up window is displayed.

  1. The Display Name field is populated with the value you entered above; optionally edit this value.

  2. The Internal Name is automatically populated based on the Display Name value. This field is not editable by default. To edit the Internal Name, check Edit Internal Name. A confirmation dialog box is displayed; click Ok. Edit the Internal Name value.

  3. Optionally, in the Description field, enter a description of this item.

  4. The Strategy drop-down menu is populated with the value you selected above; optionally select a different value.

  5. Click Save. The new Earn Rule Group is added to the bottom of the list of existing Earn Rule Groups.

Note: If you want to add Earn Rules to an Earn Rule Group, you must navigate to the Earn Rules screen, and add the Earn Rules one at a time to the Earn Rule Group. See Edit Earn Rule Properties for details on how to assign an Earn Rule to an Earn Rule Group.
